Session Title

“Going Global, Staying Local: Building an Ecosystem Where Local Businesses Thrive and European Investors Engage”

Background

Cameroon’s digital and entrepreneurial ecosystem is growing rapidly, driven by a young population, increasing digital adoption, and emerging innovation hubs across the country.

At the same time, European companies and investors are seeking reliable local partners, scalable digital solutions, and new opportunities for sustainable engagement in African markets.

However, stronger collaboration between local ecosystems and the European private sector requires more than isolated startup support. It demands the development of an enabling ecosystem that connects entrepreneurs, financial institutions, public actors, corporates, diaspora networks, and innovation platforms.

The proposed session “Going Global, Staying Local” aims to create a dynamic dialogue space between African and European stakeholders to identify concrete pathways for cooperation, investment, digital innovation, and inclusive growth.

Objectives of the Session

01

Stimulate dialogue between local entrepreneurs, public institutions, financial actors, and European private sector representatives.

02

Identify structural gaps and opportunities within Cameroon’s digital and business ecosystem.

03

Explore how European companies and investors can engage as long-term strategic partners.

04

Amplify the voice of local entrepreneurs and ecosystem builders.

05

Encourage practical follow-up initiatives and long-term partnerships beyond the event itself.

06

Showcase innovative, youth-driven, and participatory formats for ecosystem engagement.
